Why We Started 6AI

The origin story of two builders who kept shipping and decided to turn it into something bigger.

Nyan Balaji and I met the way a lot of builders meet these days — we were both working on AI SaaS projects, found each other, and started talking. A lot. We had the same obsession, the same energy, and the same belief that AI was going to change everything about how businesses get built.

As we got closer, we started helping each other. Bouncing ideas, giving feedback, jumping in on each other's projects. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, a pattern emerged: we loved building with AI, and we were getting genuinely good at it.

So we decided to make it official. We launched 6AI as a place where we could build AI-native companies from scratch, own them, and scale them. That was the original idea. Build cool things with AI. See what sticks.

We quickly realized there was something bigger there.

Every conversation we had with other founders and business owners kept coming back to the same thing: everyone knows AI is important, but most people have no idea how to actually use it. Not in a real way. Not in a way that changes how their business operates. They hear the buzzwords. They try the tools. Nothing fundamentally changes.

That gap is enormous. It is only going to grow.

AI is not a trend. It is the most significant shift in how businesses operate since the internet. The companies that figure out how to build with AI at their core — not bolted on as an afterthought, but embedded in everything they do — are going to be the ones that win. The ones that do not are going to get left behind. That is not an opinion. That is already happening.

The founders and businesses that move fast on AI right now are going to have an insurmountable advantage over those that wait. Lower costs, faster execution, better products, leaner teams. AI does not just make businesses more efficient — it fundamentally changes what is possible for a small team. Nyan and I run seven companies between the two of us. That would have been impossible five years ago. Today it is just how we operate.

That realization is what turned 6AI into something more.

We are not just building our own companies anymore. We are bringing that same operator experience to founders and SMBs to help them do what we do. That is where we are genuinely different from everyone else in this space.

We are not consultants. We do not charge flat fees, make surface-level changes, and disappear. We are operators — and we embed with operators. When we work with a company, we integrate ourselves into it. We build the AI workflows, the agents, the infrastructure, the systems. We help them scale. We do it because we are invested in their success, not just their invoice.

That is what 6AI is. Built by operators, for operators. We build companies. We scale them. We help others do the same.

We are just getting started.
