Where it started

The problem

No Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, or Google Analytics, and event dates in the site's code that the Events page did not show.

Entrepreneurial Stewardship of Austin (ESA) is a 13-week, case-method entrepreneurship program in Austin based on the Acton MBA curriculum. Cory Older and Hugo Díaz co-founded it, and its founding cohort meets from February to May 2027. Its WordPress site was built by another developer before we started, and we do the SEO and GEO on it.

On October 12, Google's AI answer about the program cited only ESA's Instagram, not its own site, and gave no dates, tuition, or deadline.

ESA had no Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, or Google Analytics, so nothing recorded how people found it. The site's code also told search engines things the pages did not: an October 21 date the Events page did not show, and FAQ data that counted three audience cards as questions.

Before and after

What it looked like, and what it looks like now

ESA's event dates, in the site's code

Before

October 21 and November 12

What the Events page's description and event data said at our October 12 audit. The page itself showed October 28 and November 12.

After

October 28 and November 12

Live October 13. Search Console's Events report shows both events as valid and none invalid.

The homepage's FAQ data

Before

Two blocks, one of them three audience cards

At our October 12 audit, one of the homepage's two FAQ blocks counted “The Aspiring Entrepreneur”, “The Founder or Operator”, and “The Intrapreneur” as questions.

After

One block: ESA's six real questions

From the time commitment to the application deadline. Live October 13, with 0 errors in the Schema.org validator on October 18.

What ESA could measure

Before

Nothing set up

No Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, or Google Analytics at our October 12 audit. ESA's team confirmed there was no Search Console.

After

Search Console, Bing, and Analytics

Set up October 13, with ESA's team as owners of Search Console and administrators of Analytics. Apply and RSVP clicks count as key events from October 18.

What we did

01 · Measurement

  • Google Search Console

Verified on October 13, with the sitemap submitted and ESA's team added as owners, so the data is theirs. Linked to Google Analytics on October 16.

  • Bing Webmaster Tools

Verified on October 13, with the sitemap and the five main pages submitted.

  • Google Analytics

Live on all seven pages since October 13, with ESA's team as administrators.

  • Apply and RSVP clicks counted

A click on Apply, or on Reserve a Seat for either event, sends an event to Analytics. Live October 17, and counted as key events from October 18.

02 · Structured data

  • Both events on the Events page

The Entrepreneur's Table lunch on October 28 and a mock case class on November 12, each with its date, time, free admission, and ESA as organizer. Live October 13.

  • The program as a course

Course data on the Program page with the 2027 schedule, all four tuition tiers, and the nine instructors. Live October 17.

  • Nine faculty entries

Every faculty member, both co-founders included, as a person linked to ESA. Live October 17.

  • FAQ data from the real FAQ

The homepage's FAQ data now carries ESA's six real questions, from the time commitment to the application deadline, and no longer counts three audience cards as questions. Live October 13.

03 · On the site

  • A sentence that says what ESA is

A plain sentence on the homepage that names Entrepreneurial Stewardship of Austin in full and says what it is, in wording Cory approved. Live October 13.

  • An Events description with the real dates

The Events page's description for search results now names the October 28 lunch and the November 12 class. Live October 13.

  • The Acton MBA in the Program page's title

The title and description written for Google's results now say the Program page is based on the Acton MBA curriculum, in wording Cory approved. Live October 18, with nothing visible on the page changed.

  • A WhatsApp link that dials the US

The footer's WhatsApp link had no country code, so it dialed the wrong country. Fixed October 13.

  • Two unused plugins off

A finished migration tool and a smooth-scrolling plugin, turned off on October 13.

04 · Getting it read

  • Re-crawl requests to Google

We asked Google to re-read the five main pages on October 16 and 17, and it had read all five by the night of October 17. Four had last been read on September 25 or 26.

  • Bing and IndexNow

The five main pages submitted to Bing again on October 17 and sent through IndexNow on October 18.

  • 6AI Analytics

A baseline on October 13, then runs on October 16 and 18 that repeat its checks on Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI answers, each compared with the baseline.

Timeline

  1. ESA hires us, and we audit esaustin.org.

  2. Search Console, Bing, and Analytics go live, with the event data, the Events description, the FAQ data, and the homepage sentence. 6AI Analytics records the baseline.

  3. The first 6AI Analytics run. We ask Google to re-read four of the five main pages, and Search Console detects both events as valid.

  4. Course data, the faculty entries, and Apply and RSVP click tracking go live. We ask Google to re-read the Apply page, and by that night it has re-read all five main pages.

  5. The second 6AI Analytics run, with 0 errors from the Schema.org validator. Apply and RSVP clicks count as key events, and the Program page's Acton MBA title goes live with Cory's OK.

Results

The results

Every result carries the date it was true and where it came from, so you can check it.

Oct 18, 2026 · Google Search Console, URL Inspection

Oct 18, 2026 · Google Search Console, Events report

  • The Schema.org validator found 0 errors and 0 warnings on the Home, Program, Faculty, and Events pages, across the course, the nine faculty entries, both events, and the FAQ.

When people ask AI for an Acton-style program in Austin

Each of these is one run on one date. Answers vary between runs, so we call them checks, not rankings.

Asked

“Is there a case-method entrepreneurship program in Austin like the Acton MBA?”

Named Entrepreneurial Stewardship of Austin (ESA) by its full name as an Acton-style, case-method program in Austin, and cited esaustin.org/apply/ and /program/. It gave the same name on October 16.

What's next

The work from here

  • Next are the searches a future applicant makes without knowing ESA's name: “entrepreneurship program austin”, “Acton MBA Austin”, and “entrepreneurship events austin”.
  • 6AI Analytics runs those checks again on October 27, and this page updates as the results do.
