Eighteen buildings Google could not see, each with a page of its own

We rebuilt the site in ten days. Searches for the buildings now land on Danly's own pages, and in checks on October 1, Google's AI mode and Perplexity credited Danly with them.

Where it started

The problem

Eighteen buildings, and search engines saw a single page that read “Property Not Found”.

Danly Properties has owned and operated commercial real estate in Austin since 1990: retail centers, office, mixed-use and land, eighteen properties across Central Texas. They came to us in August 2026 for a website refresh and search work. We rebuilt the site instead.

Every property lived behind a single URL, with the property chosen by the part of the address after the #. That part never reaches the server, so a search engine reading the site saw one page eighteen times, and the page it saw said “Property Not Found”.

Old URLs from an earlier version of the site had ranked and were returning errors. On phones the menu covered its own close button, and the tenant page led nowhere. No amount of keyword work fixes a structure like that, so the structure changed first.

Before and after

What it looked like, and what it looks like now

What a search engine could read

Before

danlyproperties.com/property.html#…

One address for every property. The part after the # never reaches the server, so search saw one page, reading “Property Not Found”.

After

danlyproperties.com/properties/7301-burnet/

One of 18 addresses like it, one per building, each with its own title, structured data and place in the sitemap.

The eighteen pages that exist now

  • 1890 Ranch Pads
  • 7301 Burnet
  • Aldrich Street at Mueller
  • Belterra Village
  • Corners Shopping Center
  • Corners II
  • Edge Eleven
  • Lake Creek Square
  • Plaza 183
  • Rock Creek Plaza
  • Synergy Plaza
  • The Forum
  • Warby Parker at SoCo
  • Wonder World Plaza
  • Smile Doctors Temple
  • Buda land
  • Cedar Park land
  • E 51st Street land

What we did

01 · Structure

  • A real page for every building

18 property pages, each at its own /properties/ address and generated from one data file, so the last is as correct as the first: Danly's own photography, an overview, tenants, leasing contacts, related properties and, on 12, a current flyer.

  • Rebuilt in Danly's own look

Page by page, in the palette and type taken from Danly's logo, with the homepage as a contact sheet of their own center photographs.

  • A redirect for everything that ranked

Every old URL that still ranked got a 301 to its replacement, and old # links forward to the new pages.

  • The fixes the audit found

The phone menu no longer covers its own close button, the dead tenant page became six working tenant services, and phone links carry a country code.

02 · Structured data

  • Two blocks on every property page

A ShoppingCenter or Place plus breadcrumbs, naming the owner and the leasing phone on all 18, the street address on 15 and the tenants on 7.

  • Addresses from the owner

We collected street addresses from Danly for 15 of the 18. The other three are raw land, where a city is the honest level of precision.

  • A title and description per page

Each page has its own title, description, canonical and share card, and sits in the sitemap.

03 · Speed and measurement

  • Lighter, faster-loading pages

Every hero image preloads, oversized images were cut down, images below the fold load lazily, and the HTML is never served stale from a cache.

  • Measured in leasing actions

Search Console set up, and analytics counting the three things a leasing business is paid for: a flyer download, a phone tap and an email click.

  • Push to deploy

A push to the repository is live in about 30 seconds, which is what lets us promise any edit inside 48 hours.

Timeline

  1. First commit and push-to-deploy. Search Console set up.

  2. The property pages go up, center by center.

  3. Owner street addresses in the structured data. Ten days, 42 commits.

  4. Search Console results published.

  5. Checked again on Google and in AI answers.

Results

The results

Every result carries the date it was true and where it came from, so you can check it.

  • 17 of the site's 22 ranking pages sit on page one of Google, six of them in the top five, for searches about specific addresses and center names.

    Sep 17, 2026 · Google Search Console

  • The property pages started at zero and now appear across 162 different searches at an average position of 7.9, with daily appearances nearly doubling between their first week and the most recent three days.

    Sep 17, 2026 · Google Search Console

  • Set aside the people typing the company's name and the property pages take 41% of the site's clicks, rising to 60% in the most recent full week. Every one of those is somebody searching for a building.

    Sep 17, 2026 · Google Search Console

  • A search for “7301 Burnet Rd” shows Danly's 7301 Burnet page on page one, the only owner or landlord result there.

    Oct 1, 2026 · Checked on Google

  • “Rock Creek Plaza Round Rock” shows the Rock Creek Plaza page on page one, with the description we wrote as its snippet.

    Oct 1, 2026 · Checked on Google

  • “Belterra Village shopping center” shows the Belterra Village page on page one.

    Oct 1, 2026 · Checked on Google

  • All 18 property pages are live and in the sitemap, and each carries two blocks of structured data that parse.

Oct 1, 2026 · Checked on the live site

  • Old URLs that ranked now 301 to their new pages, so a link to /7301-burnet/ lands on /properties/7301-burnet/.

What's next

The work from here

  • The next gain is the click rather than the position. Sharpening the titles and descriptions on the pages Google already shows most turns attention that is being won into visits.
  • After that it is GEO: more depth on each property, entity and citation building, and tracking where AI answers mention Danly and where they do not yet.
